Honey-Ginger Ale

The latest in CBC’s lineup of “summer beers” is a remarkably drinkable ginger flavored beer. Brewed with imported pilsner malts for a golden color, with a touch of pure local wildflower honey from Reseska Apiaries in Holliston, MA, added to lighten the body just a bit. Finally, fresh, organic Jamaican ginger root is tossed into the kettle, lending a crisp, bright, balanced ginger flavor to the finished brew. It is very lightly hopped, as the ginger itself lends a nice balanced dryness in the finish. At 5.25% alcohol by volume, it’s not soda pop, but it is definitely a great refresher.

Honey Ginger Ale is quite quaffable on its own, but also will pair well with our kitchen’s Asian-influenced dishes, seafood, and even something from south-of-the-border cuisine.

Cheers,
