What's Brewing at CBC
Hi CBC fans. Tonight I’ll be tapping the last keg of the Imperial Skipsol. This is a strong dark Dutch lager beer made with house-smoked malt, collaboratively brewed with our friend Anders Kissmeyer of Copenhagen’s famed Nørrebro Bryghus last Spring.
Additionally we’ll be putting on…drum roll…a 5gal. log of…Cerise Cassee #1, sour-mashed and bourbon barrel aged with no “bugs,” which has been hiding in stainless steel for almost 7 years according to the faded Sharpie on the side of the keg. Sour beer with cherries, very crisp, tart, and surprisingly clean.
After either of these kick we’ll be putting back on a keg of Sgt. Pepper and one keg of The Wind Cried Mary Heather Ale, followed by a little 2009 YouEnjoyMystout. My walk-in is getting too full, gotta purge.
Later this week we’ll be putting on batch #2 of Om (barrel-aged Belgo blonde ale with Brett, vibrated at 136Hz weekly with Tibetan chanting bowls), plus our latest pumpkin beer, Olde Pumpkin Porter (O.P.P. - barrel aged sour pumpkin porter with new oak and a touch of ginger and cinnamon). Coming on its heels will be Biere de Gourde, a Belgo/French farmhouse pumpkin ale with mace, star anise, and other spices I can’t remember right now. Look for these three hopefully by Friday.
Thanks for tuning in!
Peace,
Will
